GeekUp Special Roundup: Christian Heilmann on the YUI

March 12th, 2008 | No Comments | Tags: , , , , , ,

The kidnap of Christian Heilmann went down a treat last month, with a bumper crowd (60ish) turning up at Old Broadcasting House to hear about the YUI - The Yahoo! User Interface Library.

We were really proud to be playing host to such a top chap and a big thanks to Christian for venturing all the way up North in the interests of broadening our technical horizons. Version 2.5 of the YUI was released later on that evening and we were pleased to help kick off the celebrations.

Our Friends
First up, I’d like to say a big thanks to all involved in making this happen:

Expectnation Launches!

June 4th, 2007 | No Comments | Tags: , , ,

Last week marked somewhat of a milestone for us as Edd announced the launch of Expectnation! For those who haven’t heard of Expectnation, it’s a web application for managing conferences: use it to manage your speakers, accept proposals, build schedules, publish your web site and more.

I’ve been working with Edd on Expectnation for some time now and I’m excited to see it open up for all to see.

So, if you organise, speak at, or attend conferences of any sort, please recommend it to a conference organiser near you!
