Similar landscape to my home, Canada. Gorgeous.

We spent some time in BC last winter - definitely similar landscape to NZ, apart from the fact that most of the lakes we saw were frozen over at the time, then covered with snow. Very beautiful and great being able to walk on Lake Louise. Where abouts are you from in Canada?

I grew up in BC, mostly Kamloops and the Okanagan Valley (where I live now) Sourthern BC, so lately we haven't been getting too many frozen lakes around here. But we do have orchards and vineyards :) Lake Louise is amazing.

This is really cool. I've tried a few times to get a similar picture with various mountains and lakes, and nearly all the time there's ripples on the surface of the lake so you don't get that perfect mirror effect. Wasn't there a place in NZ called Mirror Lakes ? Nearest I got was the lake below Craddle Mountain in Tasmania.

This lake is renowned for it's great reflections in the water, mainly due to the water being so still! It could well also be called Mirror Lakes but I just remember it as Lake Matherson
