GeekUp Special Roundup: Christian Heilmann on the YUI
The kidnap of Christian Heilmann went down a treat last month, with a bumper crowd (60ish) turning up at Old Broadcasting House to hear about the YUI - The Yahoo! User Interface Library.
We were really proud to be playing host to such a top chap and a big thanks to Christian for venturing all the way up North in the interests of broadening our technical horizons. Version 2.5 of the YUI was released later on that evening and we were pleased to help kick off the celebrations.
Our Friends
First up, I’d like to say a big thanks to all involved in making this happen:
- River Networks & Rattle Research for the bar tab!
- James & Rob, your friendly hosts and long-term co-organisers
- Richard, your cheerful barman & bar organiser for the evening & brains behind GeekUp Leeds PR (Blue Sky PR)
- Linda from Met:space for the use of the fantastic space that is Old Broadcasting House.
The Coverage
Don’t miss:
- Christian’s slides on slideshare
- The unmissable video of the evening by the cheeky chaps of the NorthCrew
- Photos from the evening
- Coverage on the YUI User Interface Blog, O’reilly GMT, the Yahoo Developer Network, Chris’ own blog, and NTI
